Aqualines is a Bayonne-based company developing clean marine transport. It's a hybrid vehicle between a boat and a seaplane. We'll let you discover the concept here.
We met the directors at CES 2023, as we were part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine delegation.
With our experience in innovative transport and the digital solutions we could offer, we knew it made sense to work together.
What can we do to help Aqualines ?
- The vehicle had already been designed, and there were a few 3D images and videos, but nothing that could show how the device worked,
- In order to convince the right people, it was essential to demonstrate the product's use cases and operating environments.
The solutions indicated in this case were multiple: video, 3d touch app - Elysian Experience or virtual reality tour - Astra Experience.
We chose Elysian as our first priority tool. It's interactive and involves the customer, which is not the case with a video.
It also has the merit of being usable on devices known and mastered by the vast majority of people, unlike virtual reality.
So we came up with an Elysian 3D application for Aqualines.
The Aqualines x VRD Studio application features three different environments: lake, island and ocean. Each of these environments is entirely designed in 3D. The environments are dynamic and can be modified in real time: sunshine hours, sea agitation, for example.
What's more, the application presents the aircraft's functionalities through various animations. For example, you can open the doors, unfold and fold the wings... etc.
Aqualines usually presents this application on a giant touch screen at trade fairs and showrooms. This allows customers to manipulate the device and stage it in different situations.
The customer feels part of the project, and remembers Aqualines particularly well. They understand its benefits and uses.
